Bob Anderson Bio

Bob is a speaker, author and president of LANCER.   As a speaker, his power message advocates doing hard things, especially when it’s unpopular or uncomfortable to do so; simple and back to basics.  He believes success is earned, not given; it’s a privilege, not a right.

Bob retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the United States Air Force Reserve (USAFR) with over 32 years of service.  Just prior to his retirement in 2006, he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.  He served as the Security Force Manager of the 732d Expeditionary Security Force Squadron, responsible for a 221 person squadron located throughout Iraq, which included two law enforcement detachments and 24 military working dog teams.

He served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant of the 147th Fighter Wing at Ellington Field, Texas Air National Guard. As a Reservist at Barksdale AFB, he served as the Security Force Manager of the 917th Security Force Squadron and as First Sergeant for both the 917th Security Force Squadron and 917th Medical Squadrons.

His awards and citations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal/ 3 devices, Air Force Commendation/1 device, Air Force Achievement Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and the Iraqi Freedom Medal.

He is a member of the Air Force Security Forces Association, Air Force Sergeants Association, Air Force Association, American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).

Bob is co-author of The Survivalist Series with Jerry and Sharon Ahern (starting with book #30). Additionally he’s the author of TAC Leader Series; Sarge, What Now?; Grandfather Speaks; and Anderson’s Rules.

He holds PhDs in Human Resource Management and Safety Management, a Master’s Degree in Police Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Psychology. He is a qualified rappel master, holds a 2nd degree black belt in karate, and is an expert in weaponry and military tactics.
