In 2011, my husband, Bob Anderson, wrote a book called Collected Thoughts and Random Reasonings. For various reasons which cannot be explained, we did not get the manuscript submitted to the publisher until last year.
I’m touched to be able to announce that the print version of Collected Thoughts and Random Reasonings is now available on Amazon, and will soon be available on all major online book sellers. Additionally, it will be available in various e-book formats in the near future.
Just prior to Bob’s passing on January 31st of this year, he approved the final cover art for the book. I submitted Bob’s personal requests to the publisher for their consideration and their finished cover exceeded Bob’s expectations, he was thrilled.
This book is unlike anything Bob ever wrote. It’s exactly what the title says: various collected thoughts and random reasonings from Bob and various other sources. “Random” definitely describes this book, and that is exactly how he wanted it. This book was very important to Bob; it had a special meaning to him. Again, I can’t explain why this book took us so long to get to the publisher. Perhaps it is the way it was meant to be. I want to thank the publisher, Speaking Volumes, for their patience and support during this difficult time, helping me bring Bob’s words to life.
Below is the synopsis, written by Bob, for the book:
Long ago, I began a journey. It was a journey to find truth, learn truth and record truth. Sometimes the best way to find and learn was to record the questions and answers I had about truth. It was a journey that lasted for years; and one day, I found the notebooks I had used to record the truths I found.
I found those books had kept track of me…even though I thought they were lost to time and the past. It was humbling to read these words again and see the day I first saw or heard them.
They came at me as I needed to see them or hear them. I think they will do the same with you. I eventually put some of my own musings in there—you now have it all.
Thoughts that I had for years, things I believed I had always believed, and thoughts I thought I had always thought, were laid bare. I saw and remembered when I collected those thoughts and reasonings…. Then I found something else, totally unexpected… my journey was not finished; the game was not finished… not yet.
Grab a notebook, sharpen your pencil and listen to your own truths… wherever you find them.
